Obverse symbol

A black and white frame decorated with abstract shapes with the values "100" and "ONE HUNDRED". In the center, in a decorative form, the banknotes' value. In an oval on the left, a portrait of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, and on the right, the official seal of the Bank of Canada in black. The note's serial number is printed in red and repeated twice. The background color of the note is gold.
