Obverse symbol

Printing predominantly blue, green and orange. Texts in French. Frame composed of repeating motifs with the Congolese star repeated in the corners and the monogram “BCB” on the sides. On the upper border, the issuing institute “BANQUE DU CONGO BELGE” and below the value “VINGT FRANCS” and the words “PAYABLE A VUE”. Below, a large canoe with seven paddlers in action on the Congo River as evening falls. With or without overprint in black in the center with the issue number and date. At the bottom left, the value “20 FRANCS”. The series and number of the ticket are printed twice in black. Signatures are printed in black. At the bottom, the article of the penal code is printed on one line in the frame.
