Obverse symbol

Printing, predominantly orange and purple. Texts in French. Frame composed of repeating guilloche shapes. The value “500” is repeated in two opposite angles. A security background is composed of small repeating intertwined scrolls and a large yellow rosette in the center containing the Congolese star in yellow. On the upper border, the issuing institute “BANQUE CENTRALE DU CONGO BELGE ET DU RUANDA-URUNDI”, then the date of issue in black and below, the value “CINQ CENTS FRANCS”, the words “PAYABLE A VUE” and the signatures printed in black. On the left in a medallion with a decorated outline, the profile portrait of a young Bambuba girl. The series and number of the ticket are printed twice in black.
