Obverse symbol

Two-tone printing, predominantly grey-green and orange. Texts in French. Frame of guilloche patterns with the value “5” repeated in the corners. In the center, the issuing institute “BANQUE DU CONGO BELGE” and below the value “CINQ FRANCS” and the words “PAYABLE A VUE”. On the left, a young woman seated on a stone column holds a distaff. A child is next to her and both are looking at a beehive on the ground. On the right, a coat of arms with a Congolese star printed in blue in the security background.
