Obverse symbolAt the top, a large inscription in old Russian announces: "State Treasury Note of the High Command of the Armed Forces of South Russia," an organ of the "White" armies during the Russian Civil War (opposed to the Bolsheviks).
In the center, in imposing letters: "Ten thousand rubles," written in the pre-1918 spelling, with the final "ъ" (the symbol prior to the 1918 reform). There are also two printed signatures: those of the Minister of Finance and the cashier, proof that the note was indeed official.
A double-headed eagle sits in the background, reminiscent of the Russian imperial emblem, but without the crowns, a symbol deliberately altered by the "Whites." The whole is surrounded by pink and beige geometric patterns that prevent counterfeiting.
At the bottom, a sentence specifies that this note is valid for all payments, whether private or state.

Reverse symbolAt the very top, we read in large letters: "Russia One and Indivisible": the heartfelt cry of the White armies against the fragmentation of the country.
In the center, an allegorical composition: two women, symbolic figures of Justice and Defense, frame a coat of arms adorned with a double-headed eagle and flags.
All around, propaganda texts frame the scene. They state that these banknotes are guaranteed by the state and valid throughout the territory controlled by the southern armies. A final message at the bottom of the note indicates that any citizen or institution can possess and use these banknotes.
