Настоящій денежный знакъ выпущенъ Ростовской н-Д. Конторой Государственнаго Банка и имѣетъ хожденіе наравнѣ съ Государственными кредитными билетами.

Obverse symbolCentered at the top is a double-headed eagle, behind the it radiates a sunburst pattern in shades of blue and orange. Below it, a frame containing the denomination flanked on both sides by large numeral “5” emblems set within ornate framed adorned with laurel wreaths, as well as other ornate elements such as cornucopiae.
Below the denomination is legal text, at the bottom center, the year 1918 is inscribed within a decorative cartouche, and printed signatures of banking officials are located in the lower corners, with the serila number at upper corners.
Framed by two lines filled with repeating geometric motifs.

Reverse symbolLarge stylized numeral “5” in light blue at center, against the backdrop of a blue pattern composed by the denomination in number and text. Printed in front of all, at center and bottom there is legal text.
Framing this central field is an ornate dark blue a border, with the remaning space at the borders being filled by floral and vegetal elements as well as circular medallions, each containing a detailed radial pattern.
