The front of banknote is decorated with a portrait of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir III the Great). To his right is a crowned letter “K” from the royal monogram of the king from the door of Wawel Cathedral. In the background is a Gothic ornament.

Reverse symbol

The reverse side is decorated with the White Eagle from the seal of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir III the Great). Below it can be seen a scepter and an orb - the polish royal insignia. In the background is a panorama of Kraków (on the right) and Kazimierz (on the left) from a woodcut by Hartmann Schedel, a German traveler from the late 15th century.
