On the left, a head in profile of Apollo, based on a Roman sculpture discovered in 1910 and exhibited at the Cherchell Museum. In the center, in a rectangle, a floral composition including the three signatures and the date of issue. At the bottom, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed on two lines in a dark cartridge.

Below, the wording of the issuing institute “BANQUE DE L’ALGERIE ET DE LA TUNISIE” printed in Arabic. On the sides, several bas-reliefs and the value “5000” written in Arabic in the lower corners. At the bottom of the note, between two stylized flowers in bas-relief, article 139 of the Penal Code is printed in Arabic on a single line.
