The front of banknote is decorated with a portrait of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir III the Great). To his right is a crowned letter “K” from the royal monogram of the king from the door of Wawel Cathedral. In the background is a Gothic ornament.

Reverse symbol

The reverse side is decorated with the White Eagle from the seal of King Kazimierz III Wielki (Casimir III the Great), and below it can be seen a scepter and an orb - the polish royal insignia. In the background is a panorama of Kraków (on the right) and Kazimierz (on the left) from a woodcut by Hartmann Schedel, a German traveler from the late 15th century.
