Arabic numerals denomination in the center; Kanji denomination on top-left corner; Arabic numerals denomination in cartouche with guillochés background on bottom-right corner. Multiple repeating '5000' in the background. Security stripe slightly left of center; bust of TSUDA Umeko in 3D hologram, which facing can change by angle of view, on top of the stripe; '5000' on bottom of the stripe. Seal of the Governor of the Bank of Japan to the center bottom printed with luminescent ink, which fluoresce yellow under ultraviolet light. EURion constellations surrounding the center denomination, and another one on lower-right of the main portrait. Cartouche with three horizontally-conjoined rhombuses inside on the bottom-left corner, with latent image '5000' which can be seen when looking from bottom. "NIPPONGINKO" in microtext hidden inside the bottom-right denomination cartouche to the left of the numerals; "NIPPONGINKO" in microtext hidden at bottom-left of watermark window. Serial number consist of two latin alphabets, following by 6-digits number, then two latin alphabets.

EURion constellations on lower-left, and lower-right of the Wisteria, one on the left of the large denomination, and another two on upper-left and lower-left of the right frame. Latent image 'NIPPON' appearing when look from bottom, on the center.
