Denomination in Arabic numerals in the center and one in Kanji to the top; denomination in Arabic numerals in cartouche with guillochés background on bottom-right corner. Cartouches with guillochés background on top-left, bottom-left, and top-right corners. Multiple repeating '10000' and Sakura cherry blossoms in the background. Security stripe on the left; bust of SHIBUSAWA Eiichi in 3D hologram, which facing can change by angle of view, on top of the stripe; Sakura cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji in the middle; '10000' on bottom of the stripe. Seal of the Governor of the Bank of Japan to the bottom printed with luminescent ink, which fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Three EURion constellations surrounding the center denomination, and another one upper-right of the main portrait. Cartouche with two Sakura cherry blossoms inside on the bottom-center, with latent image '10000' which can be seen when looking from bottom. 'NIPPONGINKO' in microtext blended on upper-left borderline of the bottom-right denomination; 'NIPPONGINKO' in microtext blended on upper-left borderline of the latent image. Tactile slanted bars aligned vertically on center left and right edge, 11 bars on each side. Pearl ink on center-left and center-right edge, which glow pink when looking from certain angle. Serial number consist of two latin alphabets, following by 6-digits number, then two latin alphabets.
