Radiant sun on top, small repeating vertical inscription in Chinese seal script "壹圓兌換銀券" alternating between repeating inscription 'ONE YEN'. Reverse of contemporary 1 Yen coin in the center. Seal of Governor of Bank of Japan, depicting symbol of Bank of Japan dividing inscription in Chinese seal script into four parts, reads right-to-left, inside decorated circle. Left-parted Seal Director of Document Department, depicting vertical reversing type inscription in Chinese clerical script, flanked by dragons motifs, inside circle, at center-right edge outside main frame.
